    La société française d’immobilier et de prestations logistiques SeD Logistique vient d’entamer à Saint-Quentin Fallavier, entre Lyon et l’Isère, la construction d’un entrepôt de 40.000 m2 d’un seul tenant. Ce projet important, qui avait déjà été annoncé il y a un an, avait dû être postposé parce que le groupe n’avait pas remporté un important appel d’offres. Pour cette société, qui a des liens ‘importants avec la famille Dubois (des Transports Dubois, vendus à ABX Logistics... qui détient encore 18% de SeD), ce nouveau bâtiment représente une nouvelle étape dans son développement, puisque c’est la première fois qu’elle quitte le bassin parisien et s’implante en bordure d’une autre agglomération majeure, proche des marchés internationaux de surcroît.
  • La taxe US sur les importations d’acier suscite de vives critiques
    La décision du président américain Bush de limiter l’importation d’acier aux Etats-Unis avec des taxes jusqu’à 30% au cours des trois prochaines années, ne suscite pas seulement des réactions négatives auprès des instances de l’Union européenne, mais rencontre également de la résistance dans le pays même. Ainsi, l’association des utilisateurs d’acier CITAC craint que la mesure entraînera la perte de près de 74.500 emplois. Le port de la Nouvelle-Orléans, qui est un des principaux ports d’importation d’acier aux Etats-Unis, craint de lourdes conséquences économiques.
  • Le retour vers le registre maritime belge sera-t-il réalisé cette année?
    La législation visant l’introduction d’un registre maritime attrayant en Belgique se trouve dans la dernière ligne droite. Après des années de négociations et de discussions, un accord est intervenu avec le gouvernement belge. L’accord doit désormais être ratifié par le parlement.
