Par cet accord, les banques, à savoir Korea Development Bank, Korea Exchange Bank, Hanvit Bank et Chohung Bank, sont devenues les actionnaires majoritaires et contrôlent donc désormais cette entreprise fondée en 1966, mais qui était placée sous contrôle juridique depuis 1993. Entre-temps, Pan Ocean a effacé des dettes pour un montant de 770 mio. de’USD dans le cadre d’un plan de réorganisation sur de huit ans.

Cardillo n’exclut pas que cela pourra même se faire dans le domaine des moteurs, même si dans l’état actuel des choses, c’est peu probable.
