Selon nos collègues de la presse spécialisée néerlandaise, une équipe de la douane américaine va coopérer avec la douane néerlandaise dans le cadre d’un projet pilote à Rotterdam. Anvers, qui est un important port de chargement vers les Etats-Unis avec un trafic de 8,6 mio. de tonnes en 2001 (dont 2,8 mio. de tonnes containérisées), est également disposé à coopérer aux initiatives américaines. Le Customs Attaché de l’ambassade américaine à Paris est attendu dans le port anversois en mai prochain, tandis que la douane belge sera représentée à la réunion de l’OMI organisée autour de ce thème à Londres.
