Ainsi Hutchison Port Holdings, qui est le plus grand opérateur de terminaux au UK et contrôle ECT à Rotterdam, vient d’accuser la CE de planifier l’expropriation de biens privés. C’est ce qu’a déclaré John Meredith managing director du groupe Hutchison à Dow Jones Newswires.

    A peine un an après l’annonce du plan Olympia et les funestes rumeurs de fermeture possible de l’usine Opel à Anvers, l’entreprise dévoile un programme d’investissement ambitieux de quelque 500 mio. d’EUR sur les cinq prochaines années. Ce programme a été officiellement lancé jeudi dernier en la présence du ministre flamand de l’Economie, Gabriels, et de la bourgmestre d’Anvers, Detiège, avec la pose de la première pierre d’une nouvelle presse. “Cet investissement doit encore renforcer l’ancrage de notre usine anversoise”, a déclaré l’administrateur délégué Eddy Geysen. Un nouveau modèle sera en outre construit à Anvers à partir de la mi-2004.

    Contrairement à la plupart des constructeurs de semi-remorques, Krone est parvenu à clôturer l’exercice 2001 sur une hausse du bénéfice. Le bénéfice d’exploitation du groupe Krone, qui produit également des machines agricoles, a augmenté de 10,3 mio. d’EUR à 17,7 mio. d’EUR, une hausse de 70% par rapport à 2000. Le CA affiche 481,7 mio. d’EUR (+20,3%). Pour 2002, l’entreprise allemande table sur un CA de plus de 500 mio. d’EUR.
