    Les arrêtés d’exécution de la loi du 3 mai 1999 devraient être publiés avant la fin du mois de mai. Le Roi les a signés le 7 mai, le gouvernement le 8 mai, de sorte que seule la publication au Moniteur doit encore intervenir. “Cela devrait être le cas avant la fin du mois”, a annoncé Yves Parmentier, qui est à la tête du service du Transport routier à l’administration du Transport, à l’occasion du Forum annuel de l’organisation belges de chargeurs OTM. Il se tenait jeudi à Zwijnaarde/Gand. Ces arrêtés entreront en vigueur en deux phases: une partie immédiatement après la publication - soit plus que probablement le 1er juin - et l’autre le 1er janvier 2003.

La société prévoit que, grâce à une meilleure organisation et la mise en service de nouvelles locomotives (bi- ou quadricourants), la vocation européenne de Railion Benelux va s’accroître au cours des prochaines années. Railion Benelux est le département fret des chemins de fer néerlandais, repris par DB Cargo il y a une demi-douzaine d’années.
  • Le groupe Fischer augmente ses importations de jus d’orange via Gand
    Avec la première escale du “Carlos Fischer”, le plus grand navire du monde pour le transport frigorifique de concentré de jus d’orange et de jus de fruit frais non concentré, Citrosuco Europe a frôlé la barre des trois millions de tonnes d’importations en vrac réalisées depuis le lancement des activités en 1982. Le tout nouveau navire a une capacité fret de 40.000 tonnes et est ainsi plus de deux fois plus grand que les reefers traités jusqu’à présent par Citrosuco à ses installations au Sifferdok à Gand. Il s’agit du tout premier reefer spécifiquement construit pour ce type de trafic. Le groupe Fischer, un des leaders de l’agro-business brésilien, dont Citrosuco est la plus importante filiale, réagit de la sorte à la hausse de la demande en jus de fruit frais non concentré. L’an prochain, un second navire de ce type viendra compléter la flotte de Fischer.
  • Le terminal Ceres Paragon reste désespérement vide
    Le magnifique terminal à containers de Ceres Paragon dans le port d’Amsterdam offre depuis de nombreux mois un spectacle désolant. L’installation est déserte, mis à part la présence de portiques super-postpanamax qui bordent le grand bassin de manutention et le quai rectiligne qui complète l’installation, et une série de straddle carriers soigneusement rangés dans l’attente d’un premier container. Personne n’utilise cet outil révolutionnaire. En attendant, le compteur “financier” tourne. Les charges d’intérêts sont elles bien réelles et l’administration du port d’Amsterdam commence à s’énerver, les premiers remboursements auxquels est astreint le groupe américain Ceres de C. Kritikos se faisant attendre. D’où la menace de l’intervention d’un huissier et d’une action en justice.
