    Après quelques années d’absence, le consortium containérisé EUROSAL, qui au départ d’Europe du Nord dessert la côte ouest de l’Amérique du Sud, a décidé de mettre un terme à son escale directe à Zeebrugge où les navires sont traités au Flanders Container Terminals, pour revenir à Anvers, plus précisément au terminal de P&O Ports à la darse Delwaide, donc derrière les écluses. Le premier départ d’Anvers est prévu pour le 3 mars.
  • Brant Logistics Services construit un nouveau centre de distribution à Willebroek
    Brant Logistics Services, une branche de la société d’investissement Brant Beheer et société holding du logisticien TDS, a entamé les travaux de construction d’un centre de distribution axé sur une prestation de services multifonctionnelle. La nouvelle plate-forme logistique devrait être mise en service d’ici l’été.
  • La croissance du trafic de fret en Allemagne va s’accélérer à partir de 2003
    Une partie des résultats sur les prévisions de transport de marchandises et de personnes en Allemagne vient d’être publiée dans un rapport.     La compagnie maritime Zénith Line, qui assure depuis avril 2001 une desserte régulière de la côte occidentale de l’Afrique (COA), donne ces jours-ci une nouvelle impulsion à ses opérations, qui se traduit par l’adjonction d’un troisième navire. Cela rend possible une accélération de la fréquence qui, d’un départ par mois, passe à 21 jours. Le partenariat qu’implique ce service, a également subi une modification, en ce sens que Conti-Lines en est devenu l’acteur principal avec 50%, les deux autres armements, à savoir Secam Gabon et Marfret, intervenant chacun à raison de 25%.

    Presque deux ans après le lancement d’une première liaison ro/ro vers Ipswich, Ferryways a lancé un nouveau service ro/ro depuis Ostende vers la côte est de la Grande-Bretagne. Le port de destination pour ce nouveau service est Killingholme, un nouveau port situé à la rive sud de la Humber, environ trois miles en amont d’Immingham. Le nouveau service a été inauguré mardi matin depuis Ostende avec le départ du “Vilja”, un navire d’une capacité de 90 semi-remorques. Au cours de ce premier voyage, quinze unités fret ont été transportées.
