Guayaquil port concession plans move ahead

Ecuador's Guayaquil port authority (APG) is preparing bidding and contract documents for plans to put the facility out to concession, having completed a port modernization and concession study last month, two APG officials told BNamericas Monday.

Though the project chronology is subject to change, plans entail finalizing bidding documents over the next two months, followed by a "promotional" phase that would include launching an international road show before asking interested firms to submit expressions of interest. Meanwhile, the port authority will open bidding to contract a concessionaire to help supervise APG's search for a concessionaire ......
