KARACHI: The port authorities are concerned about the wreckage of Tasman Spirit as its could create difficulty in the channel, said Brig Iftekhar Arshad (retd), general manager of the Karachi Port Trust.

He said that the priority would be to remove the ship's wreckage to minimize the threat of ship's pieces entering the channel. The ship has become a great danger for the channel as it has run aground very close to the channel and its pieces could float in the route leading to the port, which could also result in damage to incoming ships ......
