Mumbai Port exceeds traffic target, posts Rs 1.5-cr. operating surplus in 2002-03

Following the various measures taken over the last two years, Mumbai Port has been able to reverse the declining trend in traffic since 1995-96 and closed 2002-03 with a traffic of 26.77 million tonnes, marginally higher than 2001-02's traffic of 26.43 million tonnes.
