The Exxon Valdez oil spill continues to have an impact on the ecosystem in Alaska's Prince William Sound, long after the disaster took place nearly 15 years ago, a new study says.
The study, which appears in Friday's issue of the journal Science, says large amounts of oil pooled beneath the surface of the intertidal region, causing many species to suffer long-term loss.
