Finnair to cut 1,200 jobs; threatened strike averted

Finnair has joined the ranks of Finnish corporations that have announced dismissals. The airline reported on Monday that it will cut 1,200 jobs over the next two years in order to improve its profitability.

The annual savings target of Finnair is 160 million euros, of which savings in personnel expenses should account for 60 million. ......
