Jäätteenmäki: Decisions on transports must be made together
The safety of maritime transportation was the key issue in Prime Minister Anneli Jäätteenmäki's speech at the summit of Russian and European Union leaders in St. Petersburg on Saturday.
In her speech, Jäätteenmäki stated that the safety of sea traffic and the prevention of the pollution of seas are among Finland's priorities. The Prime Minister also remarked that decisions on oil transports that occur in difficult ice conditions must be made bilaterally and multilaterally.
