Closing Sydney Harbour to shipping container traffic should have positive spin-offs for the city's security, a terrorism expert said today.
Authorities fear shipping containers remain vulnerable to global terrorists using them to send chemical, biological or radiological weapons to strike major coastal cities.
The NSW government has announced container traffic will be phased out by 2012 from harbour ports at Millers Point, Glebe Island and White Bay
