In the course of January the European Union Commission will likely rule that Aker Kvaerner must pay back NOK 860 million (USD 126 million) in shipyard subsidies in Germany. This is in addition to a previous demand for NOK 560 million.
Kjell Inge Roekke owns 49.9 percent of Aker Kvaerner, and such a decision would compound the tycoon's cash flow problems
