NEW DELHI, JUNE 6: The change in government a the Centre has triggered uncertainty over the anticipated tonnage tax regime and other fiscal changes for the maritime sector.

The previous government had, in its mini-budget, promised to bring about a legislation for replacing corporate tax with tonnage tax. However, with a new government in place, industry will have to convince the government all over again about the need to bring in changes. Industry officials fear that there may not be enough time before the budget ......
