Longshoremen threaten strike even without court approval

Port Authority Chairman Dan Tichon labeled the initial stages of the port reform legislation in the Knesset Finance Committee "a declaration of war" and warned that the longshoremen will go on strike shortly.

Tichon hinted that the recent cabinet standoff, which had led to the departure of the National Union party from the coalition, is delaying the approval of the reform in the Finance Committee.
