JUST when I thought the implementation of the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS) couldn't get any more complicated, I got a press release that made me think again.

It seems that the code could turn the mundane, but rather important, task of keeping ships supplied with stores and spare parts into a real nightmare, at least in certain parts of the world ......
