Without prejudice to the integrity of the various investigations into the disappearance of M.T. African Pride, the ship that was arrested for bunkering, the matter deserves a wider public scrutiny.
Incidentally, while the investigations were in progress yet another ship, M.T.Jimoh in the custody of the Navy, was declared missing last week. To paraphrase a sage, if the case of M.T. African Pride was tragic, that of M.T. Jimoh could be described as farcical.
