Lagos, Dangote, 22 others bid for Apapa terminals

About 86 of the 94 pre-qualified concessionaires were yesterdzay handed the guidelines on the port concessioning programme of the government.
The guidelines which also contain the time table for the first phase of the concessioning exercise, beginning with Apapa terminals, showed that the programme will be completed on February 11, 2005.
Director-General of the Bureau of Public Enterprise (BPE), Dr. Julius Bala, said at a pre-bid conference held in Lagos to kick-start the port concessioning exercise that the firms were those that have paid $5,000 non-refundable deposit each for the available 24 terminals ......
