Who would blame the people for feeling so disheartened about the on-going crisis at the shipyards? Hardly new arrangements are made for what is usually called a new beginning in the life of the enterprise than fresh difficulties arise, taking the situation back to square one. The country has lost count of the number of "new beginnings" the shipyard has had.
Now, so many years and administrations later, the 'yard is still a festering sore in the island's economy. There have been so many setbacks, so many bitter disappointments all along the way that the people have become immune to its travails. The latest disappointment is over the news that things are not moving in the direction one would have expected them to following the signing of a new collective agreement last November
