THE mining industry has outlined a $3.2 billion plan for improving infrastructure in Australia's richest coalfield in central Queensland, increasing exports from the area by 60 per cent.
Pointing out that about 50 ships currently wait at sea because of blockages at the coal port of Dalrymple Bay, the miners say this port as well as the other two government-owned ports servicing the Bowen Basin need upgrading
