Impact seen critical to grain exports, fuel imports

SAN FRANCISCO - Hurricane Katrina's crippling impact on the transport sector is being felt along most of the Gulf Coast and far inland, with the nation's biggest and world's fifth biggest port by volume shut to commerce shut until further notice.
The Coast Guard ordered all ports shut from Morgan City, Louisiana, to Pensacola, Florida ahead of the storm, which battered the coast with 140-mph winds as it roared ashore early Monday just east of New Orleans
