Alarm bells are ringing for Korean steelmakers this year, as their biggest customers - shipbuilders and carmakers - are turning their eyes to cheaper supply sources in China.

Two of the world's leading shipbuilders - Hyundai Heavy Industries and Samsung Heavy Industries - are planning to import more steel plates from China this year, to become less dependent on Korean and Japanese makers ......
