- VANCOUVER - When a cruise ship calls on Port Metro Vancouver, it typically takes delivery of 25,000 kilograms of fresh fruit and vegetables, everything from tomatoes and potatoes to alfalfa sprouts and mushrooms, and it's likely to come from Pacific Produce Co. Ltd.
- But next year, Pacific Produce won't be calling on the port as much. Carnival Corp., the Miami-based cruise operator, is cutting 62 departures from Vancouver in 2010 under its Carnival, Princess and Holland America brands, which will mean a decline of more than 20 per cent for the port's cruise business ......
