    ThyssenKrupp AG, Germany's largest steelmaker, is in 'intensive talks' with a foreign investor regarding the sale of the civilian parts of its Blohm+Voss unit after failing to reach an agreement with Abu Dhabi MAR.

    Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Japan's No. 3 container line, said it may take as long as a year to decide on plans for adding larger vessels, even after its two main local rivals signed deals to add big box ships.
  • Port Klang, PTP move up one rung in top 20 rankings
    Port Klang and Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) have maintained their top 20 rankings. In a statement on Sunday, Westports Malaysia Sdn Bhd said Port Klang moved up one rung from 14th to 13th spot with 8.87 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), with Westports contributing 5.57 million TEUs. It said PTP moved up a rung from 17th to 16th place with 6.54 million TEUs.
