Assologistica has welcomed the acceptance in the Decree-Law "Milleproroghe" approved in recent days, the amendment concerning the extension of deadlines for approving the new text of the amendment to the Legislative Decree 272/99 on the safety and health workers in the operations and port services. However, the association said he hoped that at the same time, the stalemate that has lasted two years, to be answered in the time given by the extension.
Thanks to the cluster of maritime and port, implemented by the Minister Matteoli, undersecretary Giachino and offices and directorates-general - said today Assologistica - has prevented the application to ports of general rules and improper security, which would have blocked the activity for an indefinite period.
Assologistica trusts are approved quickly, however, that all changes needed to implement the scheme of regulation, harmonize the contents of Legislative Decree 272/99 on job security in the port sector and the consolidation act 81/2008, which regulates the field level General. The draft of the scheme - said the association - was established in 2010 by the General Directorate of Ports of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transportation in consultation with all stakeholders.
"Private industry port - concluded Assologistica - requires, in general, transparent rules, consistent with the specificity of its activities. Even more so than on safety and health of workers, which account for port businesses is a fundamental and inalienable rights of port workers, is an instrument of fair competition, which should be aided by a coherent regulatory framework, clear and uniform by appropriate controls of authorities.
