Fedespedi, the National Federation of International Shipping Enterprises, believes that the decision of the Italian Competition Authority (AGCM) with which they are sanctioned more than 76 million euros to 19 shipping companies and the same Fedespedi accused have put in place an anti-competition during the period 2002-2007 ( of 20 June 2011), "is very serious because of the enormity of the sums, never before has inflicted."
In a footnote explains that Fedespedi reserves "and to take any legal broader initiative to avert a measure whose effects will have severe impact on companies involved, affected by the continuing economic crisis, we fear we may have a strong social impact."
"Already at the next annual meeting Fedespedi, scheduled for Wednesday, June 22 in Milan - says the president of the Federation, Piero Lazzeri - will agree with our associates and other sub categories of the most appropriate to protect the industry."
