Yesterday at the headquarters of the Port of La Spezia was signed a protocol to solve the problems of road. The agreement, which - as well as by the port - from the Harbour, Customs Agency, Confindustria, CNA Fita, Confartigianato Transport, Freight Forwarders Association, Port System Srl, FILT-CGIL, CISL and Uiltrasporti-Fit, the following ' development by the Port Authority of a project to rationalize the heavy traffic originated from the trucks in and out of the port of La Spezia with the aim of reducing congestion, delays, stop times for loading and unloading of goods, harmful emissions in inland areas surrounding the port and cargo and ensure greater security.
In order to pinpoint the critical issues of road, since last April, the Port Authority has convened a series of meetings with industry associations, coordinated by Maurizio Pozella, director of the Work entity port, which the participation of all components involved. During the meetings have been identified and a series of structural, and organizational, administrative and procedural.
Among the highlights of the agreement signed yesterday include the creation of a new gate for the exit and entry of vehicles in the Lagoon area, dedicated to Terminal Ravano, the realization of the customs S. Stephen and the realization, by association, in collaboration with the Port Authority of training courses and refresher courses dedicated to using new technologies, establishment of a technical permanent establishment, by the Port Authority of advanced and innovative information system that aims to eliminate all the traffic of paper documents and streamlining procedures. In fact, the system will adopt a series of experimental projects that will facilitate customs procedures and document exchange between institutions and operators.
"The aim, among other things - explained Pozella - is to separate the flow of trucks and rail route through the information system of the same trucks to the areas of destination, avoiding congestion at individual crossings. Now, following the definition of the new gate access to the port, you can start the race too short for the award of "Truck Village", in order to provide a basis to hauliers and logistics services. Thanks to AP Net, the platform of the will of the Port Authority to provide the port with its own information system and that serves as a point of contact between agencies and professionals, will be streamlined, computerized and faster communication between the different actors. AP Net will adopt the national and European projects such as honey, UIRNet, Troubadour, and other system. "
The port authority has also stressed the break novelty consists in the planned construction of wi-fi in highway rest areas that will allow drivers to make a sort of "check in" so as to arrive at their destination already have all the permissions necessary, obtained online.
