TX Logistik, a company wholly owned by Trenitalia (Italian State Railways Group), will activate a new rail link between the Netherlands and Italy in collaboration with Har Vaessen Transport BV, the Dutch logistics since 2008 is part of Jan de Rijk Logistics.
The service consists of five weekly departures in both directions between Venlo (Netherlands) and Melzo (Milan) of a freight train consisting of 32 containers to be hauled by locomotives on the whole is interoperable TX Logistik. For his part, the CEO of the Har Vaessen Transport has stressed that, thanks to the new service, "the goods of our customers will be able to reach Italy in a more fast and convenient." Previously, in fact, Har Vaessen carrying the goods in Cologne or Herne Road, from where it was shipped by rail in a southerly direction.By the end of this year or beginning of next year Har Vaessen is determined to activate another train between Venlo and Melzo.
