Yesterday at the headquarters of the company Interporto Marche Spa in Jesi (Ancona) Infrastructure of the assessors to the Region of Umbria and Marche, and Louis Silvano Rometti Living, have signed an agreement under which Sviluppumbria Interporto Marche Spa and will continue to manage jointly the Interporto structure of the Marche and develop intermodal traffic, also with a view to test a business model applicable in the future for developing the best logistics plates under construction in Umbria.
During the meeting, was also reaffirmed the will of the two regional bodies in a synergistic way to address road and rail infrastructure development already initiated in previous years and that has been reflected in the participation of Sviluppumbria Interporto Marche Spa, which holds 4 , 5% of the capital, expressing also the vice-presidency with Vinicio Bottacchiari.
"Umbria and Marche - Umbria said Councillor Rometti - are in parallel to address items that relate to infrastructure development on the cross from the Adriatic to the Tyrrhenian Sea. Being here now in Jesi, confirms choices already made by the Umbria region, first of all the logistics of the plates of Foligno and Terni for which the work will start later this year and also, indirectly, in the Città di Castello, which together mean 61 million euro investment with 30 million co-financing by the national government. "
"In this context - added Rometti - the synergy between the two regions is essential to verify management methods that will best develop the infrastructure in place on the same road. The next step - he concluded - must relate to our joint efforts to concentrate the goods inland port and then to achieve critical mass for block-trains reach their destinations in Italy and in Europe without intermediate stops. "
"The step taken so far - said the councilor Marche Living - is a strong political message that comes from both the regional and two territories that allow to exploit the potential interport of the Marches and Umbria plates logistics . We are not starting from scratch - he continued - but steps already made in the past, convinced that making this infrastructure available to the market is a specific task of our government who have shown over the years and said today, a particular sensitivity to a problem that can not be postponed, the integration between the two territories. "
"The Region of Marche last year - has added Living - has picked up the problem with determination of delayed infrastructure and I think I can say that our contribution has been fundamental in this sense. With the renovation of the gallery of the Catholic, for example, you can now pass on iron of any volume and with the approval of the CIPE project to bypass Falconara today we can look to the future with renewed optimism of infrastructure, despite the general difficulties in which we operate, unfortunately. "
"Today - said the president of Freight Marche Spa, Roberto Pesaro - we had an example of sharing of strategic issues between the two regions that cover the activities and interests in the overall perspective of the connection and integration."
