With the extension to Tunisia in 2010 and China and Latvia this year, the logistics group has expanded to 24 branches GEFCO the global agreement on corporate social responsibility since 2006, which until now has been translated into more than 300 concrete actions to most of them in four main areas: health, safety and working conditions, respect for human rights, elimination of discrimination and the development of equal opportunities, social dialogue.
In May 2010 the agreement was strengthened by the commitment of GEFCO in asking his managers about an even greater responsibility: the occupational health, with particular attention to psychological and social problems such as stress at work and musculoskeletal disorders and the management of personnel, with better planning of changes in job positions, the social dialogue and information that employees receive on the company and its environmental policy.
Among the actions undertaken in 2010, the branch GEFCO Italy Italy has undertaken to evaluate the component of stress at work using a questionnaire completed by nearly 75% of employees. It then followed an action plan with the aim to encourage communication between managers and staff and organize special training to improve the career prospects of employees.
