Fincantieri Palermo carry out at its plant in the renovation of the cruise ship Bleu de France, 37,301 gross tons. The unit was sold by France to the British Crosières de France ribattezzerà Saga Saga Cruising the Sapphire.
The work, which will start next month and completed in February 2012, will include the renovation of all public areas and passenger cabins of the current and the insertion of new cabins.
The Sapphire Saga, which will be the largest ship in the fleet of Saga Group, will make the maiden voyage departing from Southampton on 26 March live in the Mediterranean with stops in El Ferrol, Cartagena, Palma, Valletta, Dubrovnik, Sibenik, Venice, Hvar , Corfu, Civitavecchia, Gibraltar and Lisbon.
The Sapphire Saga is 200 meters long, 28.5 meters wide and currently has a capacity of 748 passengers and 406 crew members.
