The Harbour Authority naval of Carrara anticipates the project for the requalification of the waterfront

The project will be illustrated by the mayor of Carrara, Angelo Zubbani, and from the president of the Harbour Authority naval of Carrara, Francesco Messineo, with Leonardo Piccini for the IRPET the Tuscan institute that studies the regional economy and proposes participations of support and planning.

The project, signed from the Policreo study of Parma - it has agreed the president of the Harbour Authority, Francesco Messineo, "in its current drawing up is online with the explicit demands for the citizens and of the categories, it answers in open and propositivi terms to the demand for transformation of the city in an optical of modern fruizione of the territory. The project is the final result of a long one and deep phase of I confront and concertazione with all the economic and social actors of the territory that the Harbour Authority has faced with positive spirit, considering also of the limits and incongruities emerged in the appraisals of proposals precedence. Today, and then to Cannes, we anticipate a true project and cantierabile to low environmental impact, that it has as scope that to develop to the economy and the terziario preserving the virtue areas and prefiguring a development model for which "the shared" concept of "sustainable" and of is real elements, I yield of progettuali addresses and of choices inspired to I confront. All this, has concluded Messineo - in the perspective compiutamente to insert the waterfront in the frame of the Town development plan of the Port that is by now in the final integrity that will have to carry to the adoption".

The project previews a series of participations of requalification on city areas in order to recreate a positive relation between the port, the city and coastal tourism and subdivides the entire area interested from the requalification, than it is extended for 80,000 square metres, in four areas of participation. In first and the second area the rationalization of the entire road system is previewed realizing also rotatory in order to separate and to shunt the city practicability from that heavy one of the port. Ciclopedonabili tracks and functional accesses distinguished to for transport exceptional port will be realized also previewing a suitable practicability. In the third area they are programmed participations in the part the west of the port with realization of sidewalks and ciclopedonali tracks along the tree-lined avenues, in order to favor the circulation of pedestrians and cyclists who will journey from the pier of West to that tourist, with new furnishings, new green, services of net and the creation of parkings for 53 places car; the zone will have a mixed destination with participations aimed at the integrated functionality of the "system shoreline" with the improvement of the connection city-port, improvement and valorization of all the structures, the vivibilità and the spaces of along port, comprised those between the buildings of the Harbour Authority and the "system of the pinewoods" as well as with specific participations in order to guarantee the fruibilità protect by the pedestrians.

Area 4 of the waterfront will interest the feature of the esplanade, the port, the beach and the external dam of the port. It will become noble zone of aggregation of the coast where pause points will be placed in order to improve the fruibilità and percorribilità introducing also architectonic signs that will recall the historical memory of the city besides emplacements for temporary exhibitions and events. The participation will have a naturalistic characterization with the introduction of elements of the landscape of the Tuscan shoreline and characterizations that recall to the truth and the memory of the marble. Central element of that which it will become the "Door the west" of the city will be the walk on the sea in correspondence of the pier of West with the insertion of bar, commercial restaurants, exercises. Residents and tourists will be able to enjoy a spectacular walk on the pier of West with the realization of a communication trench that developing itself from the top of the external pier will allow to enjoy the sight on the sea in the terminal feature of the port.
