Italy, the USA and India form the new "triangle" of the nautical one



Today the Ministry of the Economic Development (MiSE) and UCINA Nautical Confindustria, in occasion of the development of International the Nautical Hall of Genoa, has introduced a project promoted from the ministry and the association of the Italian boat yards consisting in a prototype of small boat of Italian design, with the system stripteases planking American and equipped with producing and accessories of both Countries, that it is realized near the Chantier de Pondicherry in India. The objective of the initiative is to support the partnership between Italy and the USA being headed to grow in the Third-country with combined and polifunzionale producing.

Italy and the USA - they have emphasized MiSE and UCINA - remain, in spite of the crisis of the field, the world leaders of the nautical one from diporto. In order to ulteriorly support and to develop the respective nautical industries, it is in the traditional markets that in the emerged Countries which for example India, the ministry and the association have chosen to promote a not conventional progettuale idea.

The prototype will be proposed near the main American nautical manifestations which vituous example of collaboration between Countries leaders and emergent Country. Moreover which carrier of interest towards the Italian design and the western quality will be introduced near the manifestations of reference for the Indian market.

The strengths of the project - MiSE and UCINA have explained - are legacies to the fact that draft of a not competitive production regarding the companies of Italy and the USA, that they construct to perlopiù on different dimensions and materials, but attractive and at the same time proponibile on the market of niche of the American wood which example of collaboration between active Countries on the nautical world. Moreover, the boat prototype will be introduced as a small jewel of nautical fruibilità, opened to multiple users and possibility of development: from the diportismo, to the peach, free time. Last, the model could not also be employed as to stretch of luxury for superyacht.

In the United States the project will be promoted in collaboration with IBEX and "Professional Boatbuilder" - publisher American and organizer of the main exhibition manifestations for the subfornitura and nautical accessoristica and the boats in wood in the USA. In particular, IBEX promuoverà the initiative through own banns of field and giving them visibility in occasion of the main exhibition manifestations dedicated to the section.

"We are very proud - it has been the comment of the MiSE - to contribute with a public investment to this project, that it finds its value and its force in the collaboration between all the partner involved. Italy and the United States, the main international actors in the field of the nautical one, have decided to approach with the promising Indian market, privileging it to other markets, with common producing that it binds together the best of our competences: Italian design, American technology, and Indiana manufacturing. Moreover, not only Italy and the United States are demonstrated able to maintain and to expand their market shares being contrasted the international competition, but they have from their part a great advantage: the common passion for the nautical one. One of the scopes of this project is also that to diffuse this message and "to navigate with" to the nautical industry of emergent Countries. Today we choose to go with in India, but an added value of this project is its polifunzionalità and replicabilità, so, in future, will be possible to deepen the collaboration directing to us in Brazil, Russia or the markets identified third party as from time to time mainly strategic".

UCINA president Nautical Confindustria has evidenced the importance of the market American for the Italian industry of field and, consequently, the value of a similar collaboration: "being to the data I am diffused by the National Marine Manufacturers Association - Anton Francesco Albertoni has explained - the North American nautical industry is in increase. Last year the resumption was begun by the outboard motor, this year has been able to record positive signs also in the cabin cruisers until 18 meters. The general coordinator of the project, professor Pier Federico Caliari of the Department of Architecture and Planning of the Polytechnic of Milan (DATSU), considers the experience "not only positive, but also important in order to ulteriorly develop the particular technologies applied for the construction of light hulls, in an important context of international scientific exchange". Caliari has moreover held to express great appreciation for the team that has followed the project, composed entirely from young creators and collaborators: architects Dan Andresan and Carola Gentilini, and the structural engineers Marta Giangreco and Dario Barbieri.

"Near Istituto Indiano di Tecnologia of Madras - it has commented professor Anantha Subramanian of the Department of Oceanographic Engineering of the IIT of Madras - we consider the development of this international collaboration of great value for the future. Meticulous, complex and challenging - also in terms of demanded times - the process of construction of the boat, based on the American constructive technical original, the Italian design and the Indian effort, is giving turned out indeed only. The construction uses wood of veneered red cedar and in other forms, and epoxide resin, to the aim to obtain producing from the valuable covering, strongly resistant to the deterioration caused from the marine atmosphere, the relatively light weight and the long ability to conservation. It has been be a matter of a beautiful challenge, for how much committal, and we wish that it has of the future developments, that they carry, as in this case, important benefits for all the partner involved".

"This project - it has added Carl Cramer, publisher of the magazines "Professional BoatBuilder" and "WoodenBoat" - has hard collected appreciation in the United States above all for the ability to involve subjects to total level and for the possibility to come with water to contact in a wood boat".

The project - realized from the Study Caliari and Associati - is visible to the public of International the Nautical Hall of Genoa until next Sunday. To follow, by on 31 October on 4 November, the model will be exposed near the institutional area MiSE-UCINA Nautical Confindustria to the Boat Fort Lauderdale Show (Healthy, the USA), while from the 3 on January 6, 2014 Show of New York always inside of the institutional area MiSE-UCINA will be moved to the Boat Nautical Confindustria. Regarding the Indian market, the model successively will be exposed in occasion of the edition 2014 of Dubay Show and near ulterior nautical events of reference for the Indian market.
