group ABB records an increase of the orders and a contraction of the economic results



In according to trimester of 2014 Helvetic group ABB, that it develops to technologies for the energy and the automation, it has recorded a bending of the economic results. In the first semester of this year ABB it has totaled a profit clearly of beyond 1,2 billion dollars on revenues for 19,7 billion dollars, with decreases respective of the -16,8% and the -1,4% on the first half of 2013. The operating costs are piled to 14,0 billion dollars (- 0.1%). EBIT and operational EBITDA have been pairs to 1,9 billion dollars (- 14.9%) and 2,6 billion dollars (- 13.8%).

In the first semester of the 2014 value of the new orders confiscated from the group it has been pairs to 20,9 billion dollars, in increase of +5.7% regarding 19,8 billion dollars in the first half last year.

The managing director of ABB, Ulrich Spiesshofer, has evidenced the important increment of the new orders obtained from the group in the first part of this year: "last October - it has remembered - we had said that we would have persecuted an organic increase through the penetration, the innovation and the expansion and now we are collecting the results. Our aimed actions are giving yield and total support to the phase of increase of the orders. In the second half of the year - it has specified Spiesshofer - we have assisted to an encouraging increase in ours two greater markets, the United States and China". "For the second half of the year - it has added - we will continue to insist on our initiatives of organic increase in a which variegated scene of market".

Regarding the Italian market, where the Swiss group is present with branch ABB Spa, the first semester is closed with a rise of the new orders and the revenues, that they have been pairs respective to 1.134 million euros (+14%) and 1.165 million euros (+13%). The increments are effect of the recent acquisition of Power-One, company leader in the field of the inverter fotovoltaici. If confronted with the year precedence - it has specified ABB Spa - the result records a stability course altogether. In particular, the Italian division has still found an increase of the percentage of export on the revenues, than it has been arranged to 67%, oriented above all towards the markets of Europe and Africa and Middle East. The service activities, that they represent 14% of the ordered one, have recorded an increment of 3.6% regarding the first semester of 2013 for effect of the greater focalization of the market on the optimization of own productive assets.
