In the first seven months of this year the traffic of the goods enlivened from the port of Ravenna is piled to 14.479.671 tons, with an increase of +10.7%, regarding the same period of 2013. The goods to the disembarkation pairs to 12,2 million tons (+9.7%) and those to the boarding to 2,3 million have been tons (+16.5%). In the single month of July of the 2014 traffic total it has been of 2.172.467 tons, with a +9.8% on July 2013.

The Harbour Authority of Ravenna has announced that in the first seven the 2014 months of the goods sand banks has marked an increase of +12.5% (beyond a million tons in more), while the liquid bulk has a decrease quickly of -1,9%. Regarding the goods unitizzate, those in container have turned out down of the -5,6% and those on rotabili are continued to grow recording a +78.2% (490 thousand tons in more). In particular, regarding the container in the January-July period of this year 124,943 teu have been recorded, 12,728 in less (- 9.3%) regarding 2013, and the more meaningful decrease turns out to be for the teu empty, 8,083 in less (- 21.7%); while for the full loads they have turned out 4,645 teu in less (- 4.6%). For the trailer, in total from past January to July 47,166 pieces against 28.815 of 2013 are enlivened, with an increase of +63.7%, and in particular on the Ravenna-Catania line 28,184 are enlivened trailer regarding the 23,034 last year, while for the Ravenna-Brindisi line the recorded pieces have been 7,502 against the 5,207 of 2013; on the line of Grimaldi with Greece, inaugurated last January, in the first seven months I have been counted 3,519 pieces da/per Igoumetisa and 7,293 da/per Patrasso. Positive also the result for the traffic of new cars that, with 16.579 units disembarked in the first seven months, have recorded a positive balance of 1.315 cars (+8.6%).

The increment in more obvious absolute value - it has specified the harbour agency - is, already from various months, for the produced metalworkers, passed from 2,81 to 3,24 million tons and in increase of +15.3%. The quantitative ones more consisting come always from the ports of Taranto, Novorossisk (Russia) and Bremen (Germany). In meaningful increase also the agricultural produced ones passed from 658 thousand to 958 thousand tons (+45.6%) thanks to the quantitative ones of perlopiù coming wheat from the USA and Bulgaria, of corn imported above all from Ukraine, of arrived wood in pellet from Canada and the USA and of I rise reached from Ukraine and Russia. In increase the raw materials for the ceramics, and in particular coming clay, feldspar and kaolin from Ukraine and Turkey, than, with 192 thousand tons in more regarding the first seven months of 2013, have recorded an increment pairs to +10.3%.

"Although the conflict in existence on the front Russian-Ukrainian and the endorsements that penalize the exports above all - has explained the president of the Harbour Authority of Ravenna, Galliano Di Marco - to the current state the traffic of our port of call from and for those areas continuous growing. This although I cannot not express worry for that it is happening and for the consequences that lasting of such situation involve".

With respect to the bending of the containerizzatto traffic, Of Marco it has found that, "also continuing to record from the beginning of the year a decrease in handling of the container, it is positive that this decrease interests more the empty ones of the full loads. I confide - it has added - in the fact that the operations of dredging in course and those previewed in the Extraordinary Plan, that they will be under way within the year, carry to a resumption also in this field. Certainly it is - it has emphasized - than only the Progettone (the harbour Project "Hub of Ravenna") gives solution permanently to this problem".
