the port of Piombino celebrates the completion of a series of works

The elimination of every interference with the traffic goods - it has explained the harbour agency - will afford from summer 2016 to realize a project of development of the crocieristico, complementary traffic to that of Livorno, being carried Piombino not to be more exclusively the connection with the Island of Elba, but to widen its service, becoming available for the visit of the part south of the Tuscany. The entire participation has had a cost of about 26 million euros.

The participation of the Harbour Authority has regarded in specific the final feature of the road of about 2,1 kilometers, 1,6 of which they have seen a complete rifacimento of the street mantle while 500 meters have had necessity of an adaptation for total costs of 820 thousand euros. The road in its complex has now a development almost five kilometers and combines Ischia di Crociano directly with the first banchinamento.
