In the port of Gioia Tauro the procedure of clearance anticipated of the goods is activated

Thanks to the system, in fact, it is possible to anticipate the moment of the computerized acquisition of clearance documents, in advance regarding the arrival of the goods in the harbour terminal, so allowing with the terminalista to almost send the goods contextually to the disembarkation diminishing the lay time in port and asking for the risk of saturation of the harbour spaces.

The commander of the Harbour office of Gioia Tauro, Davide Giuseppe Barbagiovanni, has emphasized the importance of the service that - it has specified - "directly sees us involved in the monitoring of the ship in sea, quickly after its departure, once crossed the straits of Suez and Gibraltar, with destination directed towards the port of Gioia Tauro. The ship - it has explained - will be monitored with our radio-satellite systems that will start a localization distance, in order to control navigation until the arrival to Gioia Tauro. The adoption of this system - Barbagiovanni has remembered - re-enters between those previewed, to European level, from the project "Window Single" that it has the objective of informatizzare all practical administrative and the operating ones of the port. In this way a better efficiency will be able to be guaranteed through the availability of sure and transparent data on all this that gravitates around the port".

Also the director of the Agency of Customs to Gioia Tauro, Saverio Marrari, has evidenced the importance of the procedure of "pre-clearing" having defined it "an instrument in more than the Agency of Customs and of the Monopolies he will put on of the users of the port of Gioia Tauro with the objective to invest in innovative services for I throw again of the competitiveness of national the harbour system in international within.
