In the first semester of this year the harbour terminals of Contship Italy have enlivened 2,48 million container (- 3.9%)



In the first semester of the 2015 harbour terminal that is under responsibility of the German group Eurokai they have enlivened a traffic of the container pairs to 7,39 million teu, with a progression of +0.7% on the first half of 2014.

The single Italian harbour terminals, that between Eurokai (66.6%) and the compatriot Eurogate (33.4% are operated by Contship Italy, joint venture), have enlivened a total of 2,48 million teu (- 3.9%). In the port of Gioia Tauro, where the Medcenter branch Container Terminal (MCT) manages the entire containerized trade of the calabrian port of call, is enlivened 1,33 million teu, with a contraction of the -13,9% regarding 1,54 million teu in the first six months last year. In the port of, where Contship Italy work with the branch terminalista La Spezia Container Terminal (LSCT), the traffic has been of 598 thousand teu, in increase of +15.5% on the first semester of 2014. Consisting it has been also the increment of the traffic enlivened in the port of Salerno through the Salerno branch Container Terminal (SCT), that it is piled to 129 thousand teu (+20.1%), and that enlivened in the port of Ravenna through the Ravenna branch Container Terminal (RCT), that has been pairs to 99 thousand teu (+7.9%). Less emphasized the increment of the traffic in the port of Cagliari, where work the branch Cagliari International Container Terminal (CICT), than has been attested to 321 thousand teu (+1.1%).

In Germany, where Eurokai work through the Eurogate, joint venture 50:50 with German BLG, the traffic has totaled 4,06 million teu, in increase of +2.6% on the first half of 2014, of which 2,72 million teu enlivened in the port of Bremerhaven (- 3.5%), 1,13 million teu in the port of Amburgo (+4.1%) and 197 thousand teu in the port of Wilhelmshaven (+401.9%).

Moreover the Eurokai group has participation in terminaliste societies that operate in the Moroccan port of Tanger Med, the portuguese port of Lisbon and the Russian port of Ust-Luga where +6.2%), 106 thousand teu (+27.8%) and 39 thousand teu (- 24.4% are enlivened respective 708 thousand teu ().

Eurokai has closed the first semester of this year with revenues pairs to 162,8 million euros, in increase of +0.9% on the first half of 2014. Operating profit (EBIT) is piled to 12,5 million euros (- 35.1%) and the profit clearly to 21,9 million euros (- 10.9%).

Eurokai has announced that in Italy the revenues generated from Contship Italy have been pairs to 158,0 million euros regarding 156,7 million euros in the first six months of 2014 and that the result clearly before consolidation has been attested to 6,9 million euros regarding 13,1 million euros in the first semester last year.

In Germany the revenues generated from Eurogate have grown of 10,1 million euros attesting itself to 288,4 million euros. In increase also the economic result clearly that it has been pairs 35,0 million euros regarding 30,9 million euros in the first half of 2014.
