In the third trimester the value of the new acquired orders from Fincantieri has grown of +367.1%



In the third trimester of this year the navalmeccanico group Italian Fincantieri has acquired new orders pairs to 5,2 billion euros, with an increment of +367.1% regarding 1,1 billion euros in the period July-september of 2017. The important increase is determined mainly by the increase of +358.1% of the value of the new orders obtained in the field of the shipbuilding, than they have attested almost 4,5 billion euros. Consisting also the rise of the orders confiscated in the offshore segment that have totaled 720 million euros (+572.9%). In the field of the systems, members and services the orders are piled to 210 million euros (+47.9%).

In the third trimester of the 2018 Italian group it has recorded revenues pairs to 1,35 billion euros, with a progression of +5.5% on the correspondent period last year, of which 1,07 billion in the segment of shipbuilding (+4.4%), included 682 million generated from the field of cruise ships (- 5.3%) and 384 million in that of military ships (+29.3%), 255 million euros in offshore section (+17.0%) and 137 million euros in the section arrange, members and services (- 2.1%). The EBITDA has turned out pairs to 98 million euros (+12.6%), with 110 million generated from the activity in the field of shipbuilding (+59.4%), with a sign contribution negative from the offshore segment pairs to -23 million euros and with 18 million euros brought from the division it arranges, members and services (+20.0%).

In the first nine months of this year the revenues of the group have been attested altogether to 3,88 billion euros, in increase of +8.5% on the same period of 2017, of which 2,96 billion in segment shipbuilding (+6.5%), with 1,97 billion coming from the section of the cruise ships (+0.7%) and 976 million from that of military ships (+20.2%), 819 million euros in offshore segment (+23.0%) and 458 million euros in that of the systems, members and services (+24.8%). The EBITDA has been of 281 million euros (+20.6%), with 270 million generated from the field of shipbuilding (+46.7%), with a contribution of sign negative from the offshore field pairs to -16 million euros and with a contribution of positive sign from the field of the systems, members and services pairs to 52 million euros (+30.0%).

In the first nine months of the 2018 value of the new orders confiscated from the group it has totaled 7,60 billion euros (+38.6%), of which 5,60 billion in segment shipbuilding (+15.6%), 1,83 billion in that offshore (+275.7%) and 586 million in the segment arrange, members and services (+26.0%).

Commenting the results obtained from the group in the first nine months of this year, the managing director of the company, Giuseppe Bono, it has emphasized that "Fincantieri is living an important moment of its history. The revenues in increase are assured for the years to come from a workload that, for certainty and visibility of long period, it does not have equal in the industrial panorama of the Country. The backlog, in fact, it still marks a new record, arriving beyond 32 billion (the total workload on September 30, 2017 was of beyond 25 billion, ndr), with deliveries until 2027. Strong of this, we are placing in concrete terms the bases for an increase that will see protagonists to us of the naval industry and the European defense.
