Today the Authority of Harbour System of Mare Adriatico Orientale, the Prefecture of Trieste, the Region Friuli Venice Julia, the Municipalities of Trieste and San Dorligo della Valle and the Consortium of Local Economic Development of the Giuliana Area has undersigned an understanding for the displacement of the legal regime of Frank Point near Bagnoli della Rosandra, in the area of property of the Interporto of Trieste - Fernetti, where it is incardinando a logistic and industrial retroportuale pole to service of the harbour activities of Trieste.

The AdSP of Mare Adriatico Orientale has emphasized that "draft of a propedeutico action, but fundamental to go to the next emanation of I decree to signature of the president of the Authority of Harbour System and therefore to the operating departure, in the next few days, of the activities in head to the Interporto of Trieste. The procedure previews in fact that the displacement of the Frank Point happens with a provision of the president of the Authority of Harbour System, advance understanding with the Region, the Municipalities and the other interested institutions". Within little days the comprensorio will enjoy therefore the benefits of the regime of Frank Point, even if the official inauguration of the structure is previewed to February.

The structure of Bagnoli della Rosandra has been acquired from the Interporto of Trieste from Wärtsila Italy in December 2017 with an investment total of about 21 million euros and comprises an area of 240 thousand square metres, of which 74 thousand covered, and it includes a railway connection with the station of Aquilinia. The acquisition has been born from a deficiency of spaces to Fernetti in order to accommodate logistic activity.

The Interporto is already operating in the new warehouses since last June with the acquisition of ulterior traffics (coils and forest), and the start of operations of handling and warehouse to support of the local industry as Wärtsila Italy and Mangiarotti. Today, still before the introduction of the new regime, already tons of goods are enlivened 37 thousand. A part of the areas covered will come moreover equipped as warehouse cooled with a first unit of 20 thousand mails pallet, is to support of the export of the regional produced ones, for the import of is produced perishable in distribution in all Europe.

The work of reactivation of the station of Aquilinia instead will be got ahead by RFI, with an investment of about 17 million euros. The AdSP has specified that with the end of the railway work, previewed within the beginning of 2020, Aquilinia it will become station of reference for all the industrial port, connecting FREEeste, Logistic Platform and Former-Eagle Area.
