Venice tightens an agreement with the port of the Pireo in order to develop the adriatic draft of the Way of the marine Silk



The president of the Authority of Harbour System of Mare Adriatico Settentrionale, Pino Musolino, and the president of the Harbour Authority of the Pireo, Was Chengqiu, has undersigned a memorandum of understanding face to strengthen the relations between the two agencies and to upgrade the flows of traffic between the Greek port and the harbour system of Venice and Chioggia. With the understanding the two parts are engaged to establish a stable cooperation to the aim of the development of the respective ports and the harbour services, to support policies times to realize infrastruttuali connections and to favor commercial flows between Europe, the Mediterranean and Estremo East through the two ports long the New Via of the Silk.

The memorandum has moreover the objective to improve the exchange of best the practical ones and the know-how-how in the management of the ports, in particular in the fields of computer science, the attraction of the investments and the communication.

"In a next scene that it previews a fort increase of the exchanges between Asia and Europe along the new Via of the marine Silk - Musolino has commented - is necessary to engage itself to the maximum in the rationalization of the logistic chains, leaving from the ports and the street connections with the home markets, to the aim to shorten the distances, to reduce the shipping charges, to remove the trucks from the streets and to improve the environmental sustainability of the traffics. For a long time Venice, the point of arrival by sea more to the West in the within of the Chinese strategy "Belt and Road Initiative" - it has specified the president of the AdSP of Mare Adriatico Settentrionale - shares this objective, working day after day with private operators and publics for giving to consistency and reliability to the commercial flows between Europe, the Mediterranean and Far East. With this agreement, than one joins to that which signed recently with COSCO Shipping for a connection weekly magazine between the Pireo and Venice, we want to demonstrate with force that the development of the traffics needs of commercial agreements, of the optimization of the services and aimed infrastructural participations. This is the right roads in order to create value for our economy and our territory".
