Hapag-Lloyd clearly has archived item 2018 with a profit of 54 million dollars (+51%)



In the 2018 company of Hapag-Lloyd navigation, than in the year it has recorded revenues pairs to 13,60 billion dollars in increase of +20.5% on the 2017 according to preliminary budget introduced a month ago from the German company(on 25 February 2019), it has totaled a profit clearly of 54 million dollars, with an increment of +51%. The result is announced today in occasion of the presentation of the annual budget 2018 that confirmation the increases both of +12% is of the EBITDA that of the operating profit attested respective to 1,34 billion and 524 million dollars.

"In the 2018 - the managing director of the company has commented, Rolf Habben Jansen - scene of market it has not been sure easy: in the first half of the year the hires have turned out beneath of the expectations and the prices of the bunker and the costs have grown in the course of the year. However in the second half of the year these effects have been partially balanced since we have benefitted of greater volumes transported totally, elevated installments of hire more and than an improvement from the point of view of the costs. All considering - it has emphasized - we are satisfied of the financial results of 2018".

Relatively to the transported containerized volumes from the fleet in the 2018, year in which the effects on the economic results and the operating activity of the fusion with company Middle Eastern UASC are recorded, today Hapag-Lloyd it has announced that of the total traffic pairs to 11,87 million teu enlivened altogether, with an increase of +21% on 2017, the almost 2,8 million one teu are transported on the routes with Latin America (+12.5%), 2,1 million teu on those with the Far East (+38.7%), 2,0 million teu from transpacifici services (+14.7%), 1,9 million teu from the services ocean-going liners (+9.4%), 1,5 million teu on the routes with Middle East (+42.6%), 1,0 million teu on the routes intra-Asians (+22.9%) and 678 thousand teu on the routes with Europe, the Mediterranean, Africa and Oceania (+24.6%).

Last year the medium installments of hire for everyone of these markets have turned out pairs to 1.128 dollars/teu for Latin America (+4.3%), 908 dollars/teu for Far East (- 4.1%), 1,271 dollars/teu for transpacifico market (+2,4%), 1,336 dollars/teu for that ocean-going liner (+2.6%), 758 dollars/teu for the Middle East (- 12.3%), 512 dollars/teu for the market intra-Asian (- 11.4%) and 1,103 dollars/teu relatively to the services for Europe, the Mediterranean, Africa and Oceania (+3.2%).
