Undersigned a contract that gives the go-ahead to the project for the realization of the multipurpose terminal to Noghere (Trieste)



Today, near the Region Friuli Venice Julia, a buying and selling contract between the government has been undersigned Hungarian and the privately-owned companies Teseco and Seastock, first step for the realization of a multipurpose terminal in the zone Noghere (Trieste). The total investment, that it comprises the purchase, the mass in environmental safety of the area and the development of the project, is estimated in about 100 million euros.

The area interested from the agreement, center in the past of the system of oil refining Eagle, is characterized by a dock with a draught of 13 meters and will be destined in prevalence to the foreign trade Hungarian. Comprehensive of a wide logistic area of apt back-dock to storage and the manipulation of the goods, the situated buying and selling object will offer also an occasion of development for all the traffics of interest for the port of Trieste, in the members marine and logistic. The south-east zone, placed of the giuliano port of call, is served by the railroad and measure about 320.000 square metres, of which about 60.000 of state property zone along coast administered from the Authority of Harbour System of Mare Adriatico Orientale.

We remember that to half the 2013 Harbour Committee of then the Harbour Authority of Trieste had deliberated to assign to the Teseco Spa a marine state property concession of the relative duration 60-year-old to total areas for 60,332 square metres near the Valley of the Noghere in order to realize a ro-ro/multipurpose terminal ( on July 29, 2013 and 24 April 2015).

The today's agreement is signed to the presence of the vice president of the Council of Ministers and minister of the Inside, Matteo Salvini, of the minister Hungarian of the Foreign policies and the commerce, Péter Szijjártó, of president of the Region Friuli Venice Julia, Massimiliano Fedriga, and of the president of the Authority of Harbour System of Mare Adriatico Orientale, Zeno D' Augustin. This last one has emphasized that the initiative will place as hub more and more strategic the triestine harbour area of Europe, "carries" marine and logistic of continental Europe. In last the three years in fact - it has emphasized Of Augustin - the giuliano port of call, thanks to the railway connections goods, has attested to essential point of reference for important logistic chains from and towards Hungary (which for example the automotive) reaching quota 14 couples of trains to week between Trieste and Budapest.

"The which signed agreement today - it has continued the president of the AdSP of Mare Adriatico Orientale - represents the fulfillment of a work hard, begun in the autumn of 2017 and for which I sentitamente thank the Italian embassy to Budapest, guided from ambassador Massimo Rustico, the Region Friuli Venice Julia and staff of the Authority of System. At the same time, it is only the beginning of a phase more concrete than development, a great result for the port, the E region the entire Italy system".

Of Augustin it has specified that "the regime of Carriage free has had an essential role in convincing Hungary, that is one of the more dynamic markets with which we are conversing. This investment - it has evidenced - regards activity to highest added value and opens to a new vision of the port of Trieste as area of interest for the European investments of partner".

The Authority of Harbour System has specified moreover that the which signed protocol today will facilitate the resolution of some thematic ones of strategic interest for the port of Trieste, which for example the resolution of the relative issues to the state of Polluted Site of National interest (Until) near the Ministry of the Atmosphere, of the territory and the sea and the Independent Region Friuli Venice Julia; the possibility to activate quickly on the site, or a portion of it, the regime of Carriage free; the restoration and the adaptation of the railway connections existing publics with the Aquilinia station. All with the involvement of the Municipality of Muggia in the planning of the future development of the area.
