The sixth report on the economy of the sea, in addition to highlighting that the value of the economy of the sea and its importance socio-economic factors are essential factors for the development of country, confirms the development and successes achieved, also indicating challenges facing both Europe and the Mediterranean, at a particularly delicate historical stage as it is the current one.
Emphasizing that the impact of sea-related activities goes far beyond the aspects most closely related to their logistics dimension and directly touches the entire apparatus national, agricultural and industrial production, the President of the Sea Federation, Mario Mattioli, noted that, "just because our maritime system is winning, it would be good to secure him a political-administrative seat Adequate. The Hope of the Federation - explained Mattioli - is so that even in Italy, in addition to the strengthening of the focus dedicated to the sea, the establishment of a unit administration with coordination powers, so that a well-integrated chain of command leads to greater effectiveness adoption and implementation of maritime decisions (among these, a bureaucratic simplification) and both in able to do so in times that meet European standards and characteristic of this world."
