In the second trimester the traffic of the goods in the port of Livorno has increased of +1.2%

Relative to the 8.80 million tons handled by the port of call Labronico, 5.12 million tons were consisting of goods at the landing (+3.5%) and 3,69 million tons from goods to boarding (-1.9%). In the miscellaneous goods segment alone, total rolling stock traffic was 3.92 million of tons (-0.8%), that of containerized cargoes of 2.17 million tons (-3.8%) made with a handling of container pari a 208mila teu (+0.1%) - inclusi 31mila teu di transhipments (-40.9%) - and 615 thousand tons of conventional goods (+37,5%). In the liquid bulk sector, the total was of 1,90 million tons (+2.0%), including 755 thousand tons of crude oil (-8.9%), 816 thousand tons of petroleum products refined (+19.4%), 155 thousand tons of chemical products (-15.5%), 87 thousand tons of oil products gaseous, liquefied or compressed and natural gas (+11.2%) and 86 thousand tons of others liquid loads (-2.2%). Solid bulk amounted to 196 thousand tons (+7.3%), of which 102 thousand tons of minerals and building materials (+48.6%), 34 thousand tons of products chemicals (+69.1%), 17 thousand tons of metallurgical products (+12.0%), 10 thousand tons of coal (traffic absent in the second trimester of 2021), 3 thousand tons of cereals (- 91.9%) and 30 thousand tons of other dry bulk (-21.4%).

The traffic volume of 8.80 million tons of goods handled by the port of Livorno in the second quarter of 2022 also represents an increase of +15.2% compared to the second quarter of 2020 when the activity of the airport underwent the full impact of the coronavirus pandemic and a decline in -7.7% compared to the second quarter of 2019 when the crisis sanitary was still beyond to come. With reference to these last two quarterly periods, in the second quarter of the 2022 rolling stock traffic recorded percentage changes equal to +36.1% and -5.2% respectively, that of containers to +1.2% and -11.6%, the traffic of conventional goods at +32.4% and +48.1%, liquid bulk traffic at -1.1% and -18.3% and that of solid bulk at -13.6% and -1.8%.

In the entire first half of 2022 the ports managed by the AdSP of the Northern Tyrrhenian Sea have enlivened globally 19.09 million tons of goods, with a decrease of -4.4% on the first mid-2021, of which 15.92 million tonnes handled from the port of Livorno (-8.0%), 1.96 million tons from the port of Piombino (+15.0%) and 1.21 million tons from the ports of Portoferraio, Rio Marina and Cavo on the Island of Elba (+25.3%). In the only passenger sector traffic was 3.15 million people (+58.0%), of which 3.02 million ferry passengers (+51.4%) and 132 thousand cruise passengers, traffic that in the second quarter of 2021 was stopped due to the pandemic. Passengers in Livorno of ferries were 820 thousand (+83.7%) and cruise passengers 122 thousand. A Piombino ferry passengers have been 1,10 million (+42.2%) and cruise passengers 4 thousand. In the ports of the Island of Elba the traffic of the ferries has been of 1,09 million people (+41.9%) and that of cruises of 5 thousand passengers.
