The Turkish shipping company Arkas Line has acquired three
container ships of Norway's MPC Container Ships, including two from the
capacity of 1,440 TEUs and one of 1,221 TEUs, which bring the
Izmir sea carrier's fleet size to 50 vessels
for a total container load capacity of
87,335 TEU.
The three ships were built by Germany's P+S Werften, with
the two largest capacity completed in 2006 and 2007 and the
1,221 TEU ship completed in 2005.
