
The extraordinary commissioner of the System Authority
Port of the Eastern Ligurian Sea, Federica Montaresi, has signed the
Decree approving the tender documents for the assignment of the
First batch of works for the construction of the new
distribution of high-voltage electricity in the port
of La Spezia. It is a European tender worth 36.9
million euros to carry out a work designed to meet a
110 MW needed to enable electrification
of the quays and the construction of the new works of great
infrastructure provided for by the Port Master Plan. The cost
resulting from the economic framework is equal to 41
million euros, of which 13.3 million financed by the Green call
Ports.
The works include the construction, in the locality of Stagnoni,
of an electrical substation for connection to the
national transmission managed by Terna Spa, underground laying
of electrical cables for high voltage power distribution
within the merchant port and the construction of three stations
for the subsequent supply of utilities
final (cold ironing and operational areas). The contractual term for
completion of all the works is 455 consecutive days from the
delivery of the works.
In the meantime, work continues on the construction of the
cold ironing systems serving the piers of the second and third
port basin and serving the Garibaldi pier, the latter
independently powered with activation already provided
in 2025.
