
Orient Overseas (International) Ltd. (OOIL), a company in the
COSCO Chinese shipping group operating transport services
Shipping Container under the brand name Orient Overseas Container
Line (OOCL), closed 2024 with revenues of 10.70 billion
of dollars, with a growth of +28.3% over 2023 which was
entirely generated by the increase in turnover recorded in Asia and
focused on the second half of the year. In
revenues achieved in the Asian market amounted to
to 8.61 billion, up +46.3% on 2023, while they are
total revenues in Europe were down, equal to 1.14
billion (-18.2%), in the Americas, equal to 624.8 million (-11.2%), and
in Australia and Africa, amounting to $324.1 million (-9.0%).
EBITDA amounted to €3.54 billion (+56.7%), profit
operating income of €2.62 billion (+86.7%) and net profit of €2.58 billion
of dollars (+88.4%).
In 2024, OOCL's container ships carried 7.59
million TEUs, with an increase of +3.5%
(
of 10
January 2025).
In the second half of last year alone, OOIL's revenues
stood at $6.06 billion, up +59.2%
over the same period of 2023, of which 4.94 billion generated in
Asia (+75.8%), 583.7 million in Europe (+14.3%), 343.1 million in
Americas (+13.4%) and 186.3 million in Australia and Africa (+4.4%).
Half-year EBITDA was €2.26 billion (+228.4%),
operating profit of €1.79 billion (+559.6%) and net profit of €1.74 billion
billion dollars (+628.0%).
