Started the European project Impacts NOT on the management of the naval and harbour refusals



It is being developed in these days to Fortification, in Corsica, the first phase of the project Impacts NOT (transboundary Harbour Systems of management of the Naval and harbour refusals) that it has the objective to improve the management of the refusals produced in the ports thanks to the performance of action plans pilot for the waste disposal and of sewage water

In particular, Impacts do not intend to contribute to the realization of the strategy of the European Union, in matter of circular economy, and of the United Nations on the front of the "Objectives of sustainable development". Besides the activities that will be realized in the within of the project, the partner will be able to capitalize the opportunities and the processes already activated in European within with the initiatives promoted with the programs Cte, Life and Cef.E.

The project, that it will have a duration of 36 months and a budget almost two million euro, has for front man the University of Cagliari with the Cirem (interuniversitario Center economic searches and mobility of the University of Cagliari and Sassari) in the within of the Program of Cross-border cooperation Interreg Italy Francia Marittimo 2014/20.

The partner of the project, guided from the specialists coordinated by Paolo Fadda and Gianfranco Fancello (responsible scientific, teaching of the athenaeum of Cagliari, CentraLabs, laboratories to the engineering vanguard, you transport and mobility in university Citadel of Monserrato), are the Chambers of Commerce of Fortification and Alta Corsica, of Var and Maremma and of the Tyrrhenian one, Centralabs, the Authorities of Harbour System of the Tyrrhenian Sea northern, the Ligurian Sea Western and the Ligurian Sea Oriental.

"The ports - it has explained professor Fadda - will have to be inspired to a model of circular economy. In so far as the approach of Impacts does not have to consider the "waste" as a resource that permane in the economic system, red-use in new contexts: The economic valorization of the refusals, the materials dealt and which re-inserted on the producing market as new".

The project heads for the sustainable increase through the promotion of combined forms of collection and transformation of the refusals in the ports. The topics key are: to identify the best technologies than treatment of the refusals and sewage water in the harbour areas; to develop to new economic opportunities deriving from the treatment of the refusals; to increase the exchange of information on the treatment of the refusals through the creation of a net of ports. "The activities - it has specified professor Fancello - will jointly be carried out with the partner direct of the project and the association of organizations, community and responsible structures of identical problems. In synthesis the project aims for the sustainable increase through the promotion of combined forms of collection and transformation of the refusals in the ports".
